In 1973 Javier López de Lamadrid, a textile engineer, made his dream come true, founding Güell Lamadrid S.A. together with his brother-in-law Claudio Güell, with the aim of having their own company and selling fabrics in the Spanish high-end decoration market.
To his entrepreneurial spirit and the experience gained in his first years of work, the great support received from Claudio was added, and all of this made it possible for that dream to have become, 50 years later, a magnificent reality. Javier always wanted to create attractive textile designs, which made people happy who enjoyed them in their homes; and certainly got it.
They left us at the end of 2018, and their sons, Álvaro and Borja, have the clear conviction of continuing with their legacy, maintaining the values that their father instilled in them and preserving the inherited business culture.
The main banners of Grupo Lamadrid continue to be its well-known publishing brands Güell Lamadrid and Les Créations de la Maison, which today are a benchmark in the Spanish high-end decoration market, where their fabrics are used by most interior designers and professionals.
Also in other countries, more than 50 around the world, our brands have been present since a long time, which undoubtedly shows that Grupo Lamadrid is a company with a clear international vocation.
